How do I change my name or request a copy of my degree?

Please contact the Office of Admissions and Records Support Center:

How do I request a copy of my transcript?

You can request an official transcript 24/7 through your student portal. Please check your unofficial transcript to make sure your coursework and grades have posted before ordering your official transcript.

You can request an electronic transcript or pay an additional fee for rush delivery of a paper transcript if you need expedited service. Please note, some limitations apply to rush deliveries. Learn more about ordering transcripts.

Membership & login How do I become a member of the Alumni Association?

As a graduate of University of Phoenix, you are automatically a part of the Alumni Association. To gain access to the benefits on the alumni website, please log in using your student portal login credentials.

Be sure to also complete your alumni directory profile on the PhoenixLink Network.

I can’t log into the alumni website, or I need to reset my password. Can you help?

If you already have a student portal login, recover or reset your credentials. Or you can create a login if you don’t have one.

What is my IRN and where can I find it?

Your IRN or ‘Individual Record Number’ is your unique identification number. You can find it on the top right corner of your student portal in the drop down under your name. If you need your IRN in order to create a student portal login, please email alumni@phoenix.edu with all four of these items:

How can I obtain proof of my alumni status?

You can request an alumni confirmation letter by calling the Office of Admissions and Records Support Center at (602)-557-4600. This letter states you graduated with degree type, date and that you are a part of the alumni association.

Profile & access How do I update my email, home address, phone number or other personal information?

All updates to your contact information can be made on your alumni profile in the student portal.

Why are certain fields grayed out on my alumni profile?

These fields are not editable and are part of your official student record. If any of those fields needs to be updated, please contact the Office of Admissions and Records Support Center:

Why am I getting a message that says I need to be an alum to access the alumni website? I finished my last class a few weeks ago.

This is standard and you have nothing to worry about. Once you order your diploma, it takes time for our database to switch you from “student”’ to “alumni” status. This process typically takes about 30 days. If you need help ordering your diploma, please contact your Academic Representative.

Benefits & services Do alumni receive benefits and discounts?

As a University of Phoenix alum, you have access to our Phoenix Discount Center, where you can find exclusive benefits and discounts at over 900 merchants. Create an account using your university credentials.

Do I receive a special tuition rate as an alum?

Alumni chapters Are there local chapters for University of Phoenix alumni? If so, how do I find one near me?

The Alumni Association oversees alumni chapters across the country. Joining a chapter is always free, and you’ll get to connect with fellow alumni, network, attend local and virtual events and more. Find the chapter closest to you.

Why don’t you have an alumni chapter in my city?

There are currently 50 alumni chapters across the United States. When adding new chapters, we consider:

How do I become a faculty member at the University?

Our faculty members must meet rigorous standards. A master’s-level degree or higher is required order to teach with us, in addition to practical experience as a working professional.
